Frank Woodstock, 70; worked for city schoolsPITTSFIELD -- Frank E. Woodstock, 70, of 421 Spring St., died Thursday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in New London, Conn., on April 15, 1927, son of Walter R. and Marjorie Gile Woodstock, he was a 1947 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a resident of Pittsfield most of his life. He was a Navy veteran. Mr. Woodstock was employed by the Pittsfield School System as head visual technician. He retired on Jan. 1, 1996, after 33 years of service. He was an avid ham radio operator with the call letters K1 DWU. He leaves his wife, the former Ellen F. Fox, whom he married April 14, 1956, in St. Charles' Church; a son, John Woodstock of Selden, N.Y.; a daughter, Miss Tracy Woodstock of Pittsfield; a brother, Walter Woodstock of Newton Square, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Jean A. Rice of Yarmouthport; and a granddaughter. |
